What is Sculpt Step?
Combining Free Step moves with hand weights and strength work, this class will give you a cardio workout and sculpt your body.
What will it do for me?
Sculpt Step will increase your cardio vascular fitness and also tone and sculpt your muscles.
How hard is it?
Low-Medium
Sculpt Step is suitable beginners to advanced fitness levels.
What is a typical class like?
A typical Sculpt Step class will follow the following format:
1. Warm up - 5-10 minutes of gentle aerobics moves which warms up the legs and increases core temperature. The pace is easy and the moves are simple.
2. Cardio Step- 10-15 minutes of Step aerobics, with optional use of hand weights.
3. Strength and toning- 15-20 minutes of sculpting exercises using either hand weights, bands or fit balls. This section may include squats, pushups, abdominal work or a challenging combination of all of the above.
3. Recovery and stretch - Recovery to lower the heart rate and then stretch the muscles.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a water bottle and a towel. Wear comfortable clothes and suitable sport shoes.
How often should I do Sculpt Step?
If you do Sculpt Step two to three times per week you will feel fitter, stronger and leaner.
