What is Mature Moves?
Mature Moves is a light pace group fitness class suitable for mature age members or those just getting started.
What will it do for me?
Increase fitness, mobility and bone density.
How hard is it?
Mature Moves is designed for our more mature members. It is suitable for all fitness levels.
What is a typical Mature Moves class like?
A typical Mature Moves class will follow the following format:
1. Warm up. 5 minute of gentle movements which warm up the muscles. The is aim to gently increase the heart rate.
2. Cardio work. 15 minutes of simple aerobic moves, fit balls or circuit training. The aim is to increase the heart rate. This focuses on cardio fitness and calorie burning.
3. Strength work. 15 minutes of simple resistance work using dina bands, hand weights or fit balls. The aim is to increase strength, tone and bone density.
4. Mind and Body recovery. 10 minutes of stretching to increase flexibility and prevent muscle damage.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a water bottle and a towel. Wear comfortable clothes and suitable sport shoes.
How often should I do Mature Moves?
If you do Mature Moves two to three times per week you will feel fitter, stronger and leaner. You could combine it with other classes on the timetable to get a well rounded weekly work out.
