What is Zumba?

Known as the Zumba "pool party," Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

What will it do for me ?

Aqua Zumba helps increase fitness, burn callories and tone the body.  You will have heaps of fun in the process.

How hard is it?

Low-high

Zumba is achievable for beginners.  Once familiar with the moves Zumba can be challenging for more experienced members.

What is a typical Zumba class like?

A typical Zumba class will follow the following format:

1. Warm up - 5-10 minutes of medium paced Latin moves. The pace is easy and the moves are simple.

2. Cardio section- 30-40 minutes of individual tracks inspired by dance traditions from all over the world..

3. Recovery and stretch - Recovery to lower the heart rate and then stretch the muscles.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a water bottle and a towel. Wear supportive bathers.

How often should I do Aqua Zumba ?

If you do Aqua Zumba two to three times per week you will feel fitter, stronger and leaner.
